Sheriff: reveal yourself or stay hidden
Why this matters. Staying hidden keeps the role safe, while revealing passes information to the team. The decision depends on the line-up and the threat of a shot.
What to do. Before your speech, count who remains, estimate the number of checks, whether there is a false sheriff and the risk of dying with the information. If you reveal yourself, name the checks night by night and explain the sequence and the voting.
How it sounds. "I am the sheriff. On the first night I checked number five: red. On the second I checked number two: black. I ask you to compare my earlier actions with this sequence."
Practice. Play out three scenarios: one red check, one black check, and a conflict of two sheriffs.
Typical mistakes. Hiding critically important checks for too long, or revealing the role without a plan.
