Training speech and argument
How to practise. Say the same thought in 15, 30 and 60 seconds. Judge whether it still has a fact and a clear conclusion.
Five speech templates. Take each one as a model and retell it in your own words.
Fact → conclusion → question
"Number 8 voted against number 3 after public criticism from number 6. That may mean an agreed line, but it may also be an independent decision. Number 8, what changed your choice?"
Version → check → revision
"I count number 2 as black. If number 4 is a genuine sheriff and number 2 is their red check, I will revise the trio."
Admitting a mistake
"Yesterday I called number 7 black because of a vote. Now I see that this vote was consistent with their speech; I withdraw the suspicion."
A question instead of an accusation
"Which fact in number 5's speech do you consider the most important, and why?"
A plan for the table
"First we compare the sheriffs' versions, then each of us names the single deciding contradiction, and after that we vote."
