Fouls: what to record
Why this matters. Discipline protects equal conditions and keeps the game manageable.
What to do. Watch for speech outside the minute, whispering, forbidden mouthing of words, touching, knocking, arguing with the referee, breaches of voting and excessive gesturing. Apply a penalty under the exact clause of the current edition, not by mood.
How it sounds. "Player number three, a foul for speaking outside your own game minute."
Practice. For ten short situations, decide: no violation, a warning, or a foul under the rulebook.
Typical mistakes. Letting strong players off, or punishing ordinary emotion without grounds.
