The referee's protocol

Why this matters. Without a record you cannot reliably reconstruct disputed votes, checks and penalties.

What to do. The protocol needs the number and role, fouls by time, nominations, the order of candidates, votes, ties, shots, checks and the result. Note only the established fact, separate from interpretation.

How it sounds. "Foul to number five: talking outside their own minute. Record: round 2, time 04:15."

Practice. Fill in a form from a study video and compare it with a second referee.

Typical mistakes. Relying on memory in a tense game.
