Preparing the table and staying neutral

Why this matters. The referee runs the procedure and does not help a team they like.

What to do. Before the game, check the deck, the numbers, the masks, the timer, and the form for fouls and votes; announce the rulebook in use. Use the same formulas for every player.

How it sounds. "We play under the announced edition of the rules. Please keep silent in the night phase."

Practice. Run a dry game without cards using the full set of commands.

Typical mistakes. Improvising the order of phases, or hinting with intonation.
